GRE is known as
graduate record examination and it is a standardized test that needs to be
taken by students applying for postgraduate courses in the world and some part
of the United States. The fact is that there are 2 GRE examinations: the
subject tests and general tests.

Writing GRE Essay Prompt
- Practice writing: In GRE and ASU essay writing, you need to practice and practice because it makes you perfect. The only way you get comfortable is that you know how you start writing about the prompt you choose.
- Do not waffle: You need to choose only one side of the issue. There are instances that you don’t believe in one side, it is better when you argue and present your opinion about it.
- Choose specific examples: Avoid being general instead it is good when you provide specific details and examples. Focusing on specific examples will help you in writing your personal statement. Do your best and always focus on the topic or issue.
- Examples should be relevant: You are asked to provide specific examples but make sure it is relevant to the prompt. You can choose examples from pop culture, literature, personal experience, politics and events but don’t forget that you need to explain how it is related.
- Avoid self reference and first person: I believe and I think are obvious phrases. Keep in mind that first person must need to appear only in the body when using personal experience.
- Strong statements: To make your sentences confident, look for some ways where you can add adverbs, because clauses and adjectives.
- Opposing the viewpoint: Some people would not believe in your point and it is better when you refute their arguments then reinforce your thesis.
